I’m alive. Yup.
It’s pretty grand to be alive.
There are flowers. And there is sunshine.
And in eight weeks, I’m quitting my job.
Last day of corporate prison - May 14th!
Yup. It’s official! I will no longer buzz around from nine to five with all the other silly little worker bees, flying from one excel spreadsheet to another. I’m taking the window exit out of the cube farm.
And then, I will write. And play in the sun. And take pretty pictures.

You certainly don't want to get caught in the trap of working for a living at something that you do not have any passion about. I wish you the best of luck! At 54 I am feeling the same thing. The kids are grown. My ex left with a Barbie doll younger than my eldest child and I want to quit my well paying job with car and expense account and go teach in the middle east. Perhaps we will meet one day half way around the globe. I hope it works out for both of us. At least we will have lived some lives.
Sounds like someone's looking forward to summer... so am I!
